Rasmalai (With Milk Powder) Recipe Ingredients
1 litre milk
75 gm milk powder
75 gm sugar
4 small split cardamoms
2 tsp milk "masala" powder
300 g small rasgullas without their syrup
2 tbsp flaked almonds / chopped pistachio nuts
silver leaf paper (optional)
Rasmalai (With Milk Powder) Recipe Procedure
- In a saucepan, mix the milk, milk powder, cardamoms and milk "masala" powder. Take care the, milk doesn't scorch; reduce by about 1/3 over a gentle flame. Add the sugar.
- Continue, simmering for 10 minutes. Drop in the rasgullas. Allow, them to heat over a gentle flame before transferring them, into the serving bowl.
- When cool, chill overnight. Decorate with nuts and silver paper.
